|
Expected Release Date: Q1 / 2011
The Natal Information System (NIS) is an electronic, browser-based, Perinatal and Neonatal centric information management system; including a centralised database, workflow, mother-child service management and research reporting; which utilises the latest Microsoft® .NET and SQL technology. NIS has been designed and developed in Australia, specifically for use in Australian hospitals. NIS is not an international system modified for use in Australia.
NIS is part of D.R.A. Computing's Electronic Knowledge and Information Data System (eKIDS), which is based on our Electronic Client Application Foundation (eCAF), providing HL7 and XML integration to Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and other Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems such as eHealthBook.
As a part of our Integrated Obstetric Solution, including shared care provider management, the electronic pregnancy record and the Natal Information System, NIS enables a single information system for everyone involved in the delivery of maternity care and enables information flow into our Early Childhood system.
NIS includes flexible reporting, is compatible with existing technology & infrastructure, streamlines data collection & reporting processes and enables enhanced communication between key stakeholders & healthcare professionals, leading to improved pregnancy outcomes.
As a key strategic component of our eKIDS Suite, we are committed to enhancing NIS for use in all Australian states and territories.
